Ok, just yesterday Tag was confirmed a member of the church! That was really exciting because not only because of the confirmation itself but because his parents came! I was a bit surprised, but it was a really good opportunity to share the gospel. It just so happened that a returned missionary, my companion, and I were all giving talks on subjects that we normally teach to new investigators.
This week was very exciting because we had a Zone Conference! For those who don't know, a zone conference is when about 70 missionaries gather together to learn and become better missionaries. As part of the conference we got to have a gift exchange and a sort of talent show set up by the mission presidents wife! That was very exciting. We didn't have much else to do this week so we spent several hours tracting. We probably knocked somewhere over around 200 houses. It wasn't very fun and we didn't see any immediate success but I am confident that something good will come from it!
Oh yeah, this week we did a bunch of service! It's funny because I prayed that I would be able to achieve my goals (one of which was to get more exercise) and sure enough members started offering us work to do! The lord doesn't always answer prayers in the way you would expect! I got to lift hay bales into the second story of a members barn and it was a lot of work!
With firm conviction,
Elder Adair
