Week #46 - Mitchell Branch South Dakota

Hey everyone!

This week I got transferred and my companion Elder Benally finished his mission! The week gets pretty exciting from there! I have been called to my new area, my third state so far, in the Mitchell Branch up in Mitchell, South Dakota! My new companion is Elder Finklestein and he is a stud!

So in order to get to Sioux Falls, the location of our new stake center and zone leaders, we had to travel 2 hours in a Chevy equinox which they assigned me to drive! Elder Finkelstein just finished being trained and I am the senior companion for the first time! The area is really awesome! Everyone in South Dakota is really nice! I haven't been honked at in the streets once so far and people are always waving at each other! We have an amazing pair of investigators who are doing great and I am excited to work here!

So a cool little miracle happened while we were driving up to Sioux Falls, South Dakota! While we were driving, we noticed that we were low on fuel... really low. It hadn't been filled up on the trip down to Omaha and we were pretty much out! I exited on the next exit and rolled into a little tiny town hoping it had a pump. We stopped at the stop sign to look for gas stations briefly on the GPS and the car died and wouldn't start. We began to push it for a couple minutes then a guy stopped by and helped get us some gas and within 10 minutes we were back on the road with only a little bit of a delay to reaching our destination! We could have been stuck there for a while pushing our car looking for a gas station! It turned out the one we found on the GPS was not the right location and there was only one pump in town, so we would have been pretty much stranded! I know that the lord watches out for us and I love serving on my mission!'
