Good afternoon people! ... I feel like my greeting is a bit bland sometimes, but that's okay!
This week we had ZONE CONFERENCE! Elder Winward, my trainee, had never been to a Zone Conference before so it was a really cool experience for me to go with him to his first one! Our president talked to us about obtaining a "Mighty Change of Heart"! For the past couple of weeks he had us include portions of a study guide that he made that takes us through the Book of Mormon and allows us to study what a mighty change of heart is! I learned a lot, but the profound statement permanently impressed in my mind is that after we have had a true change of heart our desires change and our thoughts about the commandments shift from "I can't ... (insert commandment here)" or "I shouldn't ... (insert commandment here)" break the commandments to "I don't want to" or "I want to" keep God's commandments. Obtaining a desire to keep God's commandments prepares us to live in such a way that when we enter into his presence, we will be prepared to live as he does!
We also had exchanges with our zone leaders this week! I got paired up with my old companion, Elder Anderson, and we had a great time teaching together, just like old times! (8-9 weeks ago). We taught Steve and Charlene, two of the most awesome investigators! I am sure they will receive their answer and be baptized soon! They are just really sincere!
After exchanges, Elder Winward and I taught a a guy named John! He believes everything that is laid down in the bible and he see truth in our church! He told us he is going to read and ask god and that he will plan on attending church this week (the latter part without us even asking him to)! I am excited to see him progress as well!
It is a great blessing to have the opportunity given to me to be out serving a mission and I see so many people who come out who don't have the full support of their family and it makes me sad!
I am glad that I have that blessing to be supported by my family in full and for the strength my mission has brought to my family relationships and in bringing us closer together!
Have a great day!
With firm conviction,
Elder Adair
