Well, this has been an exciting week. I think the longer I am out on the mission, the more I become used to the astounding occurrences that are generated on a regular basis in my life as a missionary. It feels like I have less and less to talk about but it is just that I am getting used to the non ordinary.

To start, this week we were knocking doors and we ran into a Pentecostal Pastor from Guatemala. Wow. At first, he began talking to us with the intention of having a good conversation about God, but as we were able to teach him we addressed some of his questions and he became more and more interested and at the end he accepted a spanish copy of the book of mormon. I think what really touched him is when we began to read about charity and Jesus Christ right out of the pages of the Book of Mormon. I think it softened his heart and helped dispel his fear of reading a book of scripture other than the bible. When we showed how they supported each other as witnesses of one truth, he was opened to reading and praying about its truth. Of course, everyone is given agency, and I can't say that Caesar (the pentecostal pastor) will accept our message, but I can say that my life is more exciting than I think it to be sometimes and that I see God working in my life everyday! I know that you can see God in your lives too if you look for him. It is so terribly easy to take our heaven sent gifts for commonplace and be ungrateful for the great things he has given us in our lives! I hope that you all have a great week and that you are able to see God in your lives and gain hope and come closer to him in the process! With firm conviction, Elder Adair
