This week was amazing!

We were visited by Elder Enrique R. Falabella of the Quorum of the Seventy. He talked with us about being successful missionaries and setting and committing to high goals. He taught us that our goals should always be higher than those of our mission president and that we need to have the faith to achieve them. He talked about becoming a "full-time" missionary and emphasized having our focus always on our missionary work so that it is what we dream about and what we talk about whenever we take a lunch break. I have been trying to live up to the things that he taught us so far and it has been difficult, but it has already brought success in our work. I know that these men are called of God to lead us and I am excited to hear from them this upcoming General Conference. Our investigators almost all came to church this week and we had an amazing Sunday and ever since we met with Elder Falabella, I feel that my faith and my hope has increased and that we have been more successful.

We should be having a few baptisms coming up the week after general conference, at least one, but if everything keeps going the way it is we should have 4 or 5. Elder Winward is learning the ropes very quickly and he should be ready to handle missionary work on his own and contribute fully to his new companionship if he or I are called to another place.

Well, here is a random observation I have had recently. We drive a lot in this mission. I did the math the other day and I believe I have driven (not including the distance that I have gone in the passenger seat) 15000 miles. Just the other day we were passing a semi with an oversize load sign on it, and it had a jet engine on the back! Instantly caught the attention of my companion and I and we thought it was pretty cool to see it flying at 80 miles per hour down the freeway.

We got a referral from discover.mormon.org this week and we went to go contact her, give her a free bible, and teach her a bit of our message and we ended up setting a return appointment to come back and see her again this week. She seemed really touched by our message, but she didn't say more than one or two words the whole time, even when we asked her non yes or no questions. My companion and I were both very confused but we hope she is interested.

I hope everyone is having a good week! Keep smiling!

With firm conviction,

Elder Adair
