Week #60 - Winter Quarters YSA Ward

Good morning everyone!

This week has been ok so far. We decided to tract an apartment complex that houses the students of a local school called MTI. We went with the hopes that they would be more willing to listen to our message. So far we have found a couple but generally they haven't really been that interested. We tried setting up a basketball/spiritual message event at a local park and we invited everyone we contacted at the university, but no one came so we have discontinued that activity.

Steve and Charlene are doing amazing they have been coming to church and reading from the Book of Mormon and are finally ready to be baptized! We sang at church this week and Steve and Charlene came to church and recorded us singing. They are planning to watch the other sessions next week and so we will probably be watching them with them! Steve still wants to spend some more time studying to make sure that he has a strong testimony of the church before he is baptized and Charlene has already read through half the Book of Mormon.

Leonardo is doing better and better at overcoming his addiction and he is coming close to being prepared to be baptized, but I probably won't see it happen if I get transferred in a few weeks.

I hope everyone is excited for general conference! I am! For some reason I seem to get more out of general conference as I listen to each talk individually but this time I am determined to get all my inspiration right from the beginning (which probably won't happen, but it is worth a try).

Have a great week!

With firm conviction,

Elder Adair
