This week was phenomenal!
We had our first baptism in this area this year! After much stress and planning, we baptized Colin last saturday and we will be baptizing his brother Tristan next week! It is such a happy feeling to see someone make and follow through with the commitment to be baptized! He got up and bore his testimony on Sunday and his mom did so as well and the spirit was very strong in our little chapel!
The end of our transfer cycle is coming up, and my prediction is that I will leave. I have been wrong before, but its better to be prepared then to have a transfer sprung on me the day of. Elder Winward is doing better at making decisions himself and taking the lead. This week I got permission to let him drive around and get us to our appointments! My hope is that by the end of this week he will be ready to train another missionary if he is called to (which is not easy and can be frustrating at times).
I am a bit sad because I learned that although Charlene is ready to be baptized, her husband is not so we are going to have to wait a little while longer so that they can make the decision to be baptized together. They are really awesome people, and we will definitely be keeping in contact if I get transferred.
I hope everyone is having a good life back home! I have been out a little over a year and it is beginning to feel like my mission is slipping from beneath my feet! It is strange how that works!
Love you all!
With firm conviction,
Elder Adair
