Week #77 - Mahoney Ward Lincoln NE

Good Afternoon everyone!

This week was great! We are working on hitting our goals and we hit a couple of them this week and we are making lots of improvement. We have found a couple of less active families that we are starting to work with and we have found a couple more investigators.

My new companion and I get along great and we are working well together!

I had two really good experiences this week! One was when I was out tracting with Elder Arbuckle! We were knocking doors and we met a guy named Trey. We asked him the question "What would you do if there was a prophet on the earth today?" and he went on to explain that he wouldn't be able to tell even if there was one on the earth. We then taught the restoration on his doorstep according to his concern about recognizing a true prophet and we committed him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and to be baptized on the 24th of February. He asked for our number and said he would call us when we got back after he got home from a work trip he was going on. We will hopefully be teaching him again this week. Also, this week we were walking back from trying to see a couple of less active families on a day that we didn't have the car and we talked to a guy who was walking with his headphones in and lo and behold we got his name, his address, his phone number, a return appointment for this Wednesday, and we were able to teach him a bit of our message!

We had interviews with our mission president this week and those went really well! I got a lot of personal revelation from what he told me to do and what he told me I can improve on! I also had an exchange with our zone leaders and I learned a lot from Elder Roos, my temporary companion for the day!
