Something really crazy happened this week. I was on exchanges with an Elder in my district and we were driving to go see someone when out of nowhere a car came barreling across our path coming from the lane of oncoming traffic and heading into a gas station that was on our right. We slammed on the brakes just in time and narrowly missed hitting it. I don't know what it is with my mission so far but I have been in two accidents (only one while I was driving and neither of which were my fault or in which anyone got hurt) and there have been a few times where really bad accidents have happened around us but we have never gotten hurt.
Our exchange went fine and I wasn't really shocked at all by the event but I have thought a bit about it since then and I have realized how much we are protected while we serve our missions. This week we got another car and at least for the time being we are no longer sharing with the other missionaries! Our mission president decided to give us one to help us through the winter but I believe we will be on foot again in the spring. We had a great district meeting this week! We talked all about a talk given by one of the apostles on the Doctrine of Christ and how it underlies our missionary work. The spirit was very strong and I learned a lot. I hope everyone is having a great week! With firm conviction, Elder Adair
