Good Afternoon Everyone!

This week was great! We had Zone Training and Interviews with our mission president! We were coming back from Zone Training (which is a two and a half hour drive) and we had to stop in North Platte, NE for an appointment to get our tire looked at. While they had our car we went on a walk and met a crazy man who throws dollar coins at people! Elder Holbrook and I were just walking down the street when an old man with white hair, a white beard, and sunglasses yelled, "Are you ready?!" We looked at him a bit confused and he a dollar coin to each of us over a street with 5 lanes! It took us a bit off guard but on our walk back we saw him again and decided to walk across the street to go talk to him. It turns out he is a 77 year old man who doesn't believe in God and calls himself Tommy Joe on the Radio. His motto is "Life is Brain Wash" and he has a T-Shirt that says it for proof. After we finished talking with him he flipped two more dollars coins towards us and hurried off. He wouldn't accept anything from us, but God must have had a reason why we needed to meet him.

We had a fantastic lesson with one of our investigators named Dan! He is a Quaker and he has met with missionaries in the past, but he has always struggled to commit to doing anything. We met with him and discussed the principle of real intent and shared our testimonies to him and he agreed to read the Book of Mormon, pray about it, and be baptized when he receives a confirmation of its truth! I am excited to meet with him again this week to hear about his experience!

Elder Holbrook and I have been going around knocking doors and looking for families and we have met couple of people already who seem to have prospect!

We both set a goal to finish knocking every door in McCook in over the next 6 weeks and so far we have seen many blessings from showing the Lord we are willing to work. We may not finish as fast as we planned, but we are already seeing the blessings and it is amazing!

Our branch is huge! It should have become a ward a while back, but it should soon. It is bigger than most places that have already been made wards. I hope to see it happen while I am here!

Love you all!

With firm conviction,

Elder Adair
