Good afternoon everyone!
This week was a little crazy! Transfers happened on Wednesday and I got a brand new companion named Elder Jensen! I have met him before but never served in the same district. He is a fairly cool guy and I look forward to serving with him over the next month or so! We had a really cool experience this week teaching the people we normally do service for! Joe allowed us to share the restoration with him and we had a really good discussion with him about what we believe and how he can learn that it is true. He also took us to a catholic fish fry which was fun and a different experience. It was all you can eat fish and I made sure not to leave on an empty stomach. We are going to try and focus more on finding this transfer so we can increase our teaching pool so we will be out and about knocking doors and looking for our family to teach.
My new companion, Elder Jensen, is from Lake Shore, Utah and he can sing! He also likes hunting and listening to country music and has never really played videogames. He has been out for around 14 months and this is his first time out in the boondocks so he is excited to be serving here. Hopefully I can get him to sing with me sometime. He doesn't usually sing in front of other people solo but he might do a duet with me or something. It is always fun to involve music and hymns in missionary work.
We had a really crazy storm blow in right in the middle of a lesson we were having with a less active member and we had to rush to the car and drive through it to get back home. No tornados or anything, but there was tons of dust and it was hard to walk in.
I hope everyone is doing OK! Send me an email sometime! I would love to hear how you are all doing! Have a great week!
With firm conviction,
Elder Adair
