Good afternoon!
This week has been fantastic! We had a lesson with Sheila and Jorge just yesterday and the spirit was so powerful! We brought one of our members along with us and halfway through the lesson we all testified of the power of the spirit and how we learned individually for ourselves that the gospel was true and how we have been blessed by it. It was really awesome because our member brought her daughter along and her daughter who is maybe 10 shared the powerful experience she had feeling the spirit at her baptism! The miracle was that we had started the lesson and before our member walked in he had explained to us that he had read the introduction of the Book of Mormon and he had prayed about it and thought that he still wanted to stay with his current religion (which he has been in for 15 years), but after we had our lesson he was willing to try again and listen closely for an answer to know if the Book of Mormon was true. Our member invited him to sit with them and church next Sunday to help them to feel welcome and we are having our next lesson with them in our members home! I am really excited!
We did a lot of service this week. We are counseled to limit our service to 10 hours a week and 4 hours in a day and I think we hit both limits (we had 4 hours on one day and our total service this week amounted to 10 hours). My companion Elder Jensen was really happy about that. He likes to do things with his hands.
Well, other than that we went to zone conference this week and we had a great time! We learned about strengthening and sharing our testimony with others! My personal revelation from it was that it matters less about what you say than how strongly you feel about it. When you have a strong feeling that something is true and you bear testimony of it the spirit comes with great force! Also you need to have love for those who you are sharing your testimony with for it to be sincere.
I love you guys! I would like to invite you each to bear testimony to someone this week about something that has blessed your life in the gospel!
Have a great week!
With firm conviction,
Elder Adair
