Happy Mother's Day!

I would like to start off by thanking my Mom for all she has done in raising me and in supporting me both in preparing for and going on a mission! She is the best and she has been a positive influence in my life. She has shown me how to show love and how to be obedient, even when I don't fully agree or understand why and because of that, I have learned many wonderful truths and I am out doing the the most important work in the whole world! Thanks, mom!

This week was slightly stressful between preparing a district meeting, conducting an exchange, and giving an adult length talk in sacrament meeting, but it all turned out great and I got to end my week with a sweet hour of skype with my family!

We are doing this new thing in the coming weeks that is kind of like a missionary point program, where our president is trying to help us to be more accountable by assigning points to things we do as missionaries and reporting our points every couple of days to our leaders! I think it will be kind of cool and a good way to practice accountability.

We had an interesting experience this week almost running out of gas on a sunday! We had just gone on a trip to a nearby town about 12 miles away and then gone out further into the country to visit someone and as we got back into town we noticed that our fuel was on empty and our range was at 0! We had no idea how much gas we had left in the reserve because I hadn't looked at our gas for a couple of days and so we parked the car and walked around talking with our neighbors and some people down the street from our duplex about the gospel. We had a bunch of really good conversations and were able to explain many of our beliefs to various people even though no one afterward wanted visits. We actually just got an announcement from our mission president that we will be stopping car usage every tuesday, so we will be doing some more parking and walking over the next several weeks! I am excited to see some miracles.

I hope everyone is doing well! If you are looking for something to read from the Book Of Mormon this week, I would suggest reading Alma chapter 14 and asking the question "Why does God let bad things happen to innocent people?"

Love you guys!

With firm conviction,

Elder Adair
