Wow! For once I have some time to talk!

This week has been amazing! We have really focused on talking to everyone, no exclusions, but of course nothing illegal. I guess I have learned that you can teach anyone about the gospel anywhere and you can really determine whether something is awkward or not just by your attitude toward the situation and how you handle it. We actually did quite a bit of singing! I went on exchanges with Elder Kirby (one of our new zone leaders) and we sang to 7 different people throughout the exchange! We just approached people and asked if we could sing to them! Wow did it throw them off and we didn't sound half bad together. Two people we sang to were actually fairly interested. Later in the week Elder Dallimore and I tried it. We knocked on a door and heard someone say behind it "ughhh its the Mormons" "tell them to go away". Immediately the thought went through my mind to offer to sing! We did and he laughed and said sure. We started singing and after about 30 seconds he laughed uncomfortably and shut the door... we sang for a couple more seconds then stopped, looked at each other with big grins, and walked away. He was feeling the spirit and it was so different that it made him feel uncomfortable and he was at a bit of a loss for words.

We had two baptisms this week! Alan and Randy both got baptized! I don't know if I mentioned it last week but Alan is a miracle baptism! Both of his kids are less active recent converts and we had the feeling we needed to get in to help them get motivated to come back to church and had no ideas. Then we got a text from Alan saying he wanted to be baptized. Alan had a huge change of heart and decided to be baptized and is committed to bringing his kids to church each week now that his work schedule changed so that he has Sundays off! What a miracle! We had to make multiple calls to approve his circumstances for such a quick baptism but in the end everything went smoothly without a single bump or delay! We taught him every day and he is a great guy and is on his way to true peace and happiness!

Love you guys! Have a good week!

With firm conviction,

Elder Adair
