Wow, I can't even begin to say how crazy it is that this is my last email. The mission has gone by like just like that. This past week has been fantastic! It has been surreal setting appointments that I will not be going to and packing up for the last time! This week we had one of the Lord's tender mercies out finding investigators.

We were knocking on some doors on Piper St, and we had just been rejected. We walked up to the next door and knocked. A man without a shirt opened the door and I started thinking to myself "Oh, boy, it's one of those guys" thinking back to the strange experiences I have had with men without shirts. I guess I may have been thinking about the time that man pulled a gun on us in McCook, but my initial hesitation melted away as he begin talking to us a polite, friendly tone. He immediately invited us in and we proceeded to talk for several minutes. Before I knew it, we had shared the entire message of the restoration (our first discussion) and he was completely accepting of it! He recognized how much sense it made and the truth it carried, but he wanted to discuss it with his wife who is currently on vacation before really committing. He told us how he survived a crazy wreck in which he was thrown out of his car and rolled down the road breaking multiple bones and sustaining a heavy head injury. Against all odds, he recovered from the brain damage and other stresses it put on his body. Today you wouldn't think anything of it! He looks just fine with a small scar on his head! He let my companion bench his weights and then he sat down and benched 225 pounds multiple times while we spotted him! He is a great guy! We set an appointment for next Saturday, so unfortunately I won't be seeing him again like I was talking about earlier, but it was still an awesome experience. He delivers bread and he had some extra bread he let us have.
My mission has been the best 2 years of my life by far and I can testify that the Lord does not leave his missionaries unattended! He has protected me and guided me throughout my entire life and never have I felt his love as much as I have this past two years! It has been surreal.
I know that this church is true and that Jesus Christ truly stands as it's head! Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and we have a living prophet and apostles to help us achieve our full potential as children of our heavenly father! The Book of Mormon is the word of God and truly has the power to change your life if you make its study a priority in your life! I love you all! Have a fantastic week!
With unshakeable conviction,
Elder Adam M. Adair
